Terms
The terms of using PolyWeather.
Plain terms for a research desk. Using the site means accepting them. Conservative by design — PolyWeather is information, not advice.
Effective 5 June 2026
Acceptance
By accessing or using PolyWeather, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
Research and information only
PolyWeather is a research and information service. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, or trading advice, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to enter, hold, or exit any position. We make no guarantee of accuracy, profit, or any particular outcome. Estimates, forecasts, and figures may be wrong, stale, delayed, or unavailable, and the service may change. Prediction and event markets carry risk of loss, including total loss of stake — see the risk disclosure.
Accounts and access
Subscriber access requires an account through our identity provider (Clerk) and approval. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your credentials secure. Access is personal to you: do not share, resell, or transfer your account or entitlement. We may suspend or revoke access for breach of these terms or to protect the service.
Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for determining whether you are legally eligible to use any prediction-market or trading platform in your jurisdiction, for complying with those platforms' terms and all applicable laws, and for any decisions or actions you take. We do not execute trades, broker transactions, manage money, or custody funds on your behalf.
Third-party platforms and data
The service depends on third-party platforms, weather-data providers, and market-settlement sources that we do not control. Their availability, accuracy, and terms are their own. We are not responsible for their conduct, outages, or decisions, including how any market settles.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully and reasonably. Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk- harvest the site or its endpoints; do not attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or the subscriber gate; do not disrupt, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service; and do not misrepresent PolyWeather's output as advice or as a guaranteed result.
No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any estimate or figure is correct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PolyWeather and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for any trading or investment losses, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes to the service and terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
